Free parking is available in the City of Blue Island parking lot, located immediately west of the building. Additional parking is available in the city lot one block northeast.

Career Connections is a free federally funded work readiness program where our mission is to prepare this target audience for the workforce. Not only do we help prepare them for the workforce, provide job placement assistance, educational assistance, and Supportive Services (i.e. bus passes, gas cards, child care, books, lab fees, etc), participants may also be eligible to receive up to $8,000 in tuition assistance that can be applied toward college classes, certificate, and degree programs offered by hundreds of approved training providers in Cook County.
Career Connections Program
The High School Equivalency/Adult Basic Education department instructors help students in need of a high school equivalency to prepare for the high school equivalency test. Through this accomplishment, students achieve a goal of personal fulfillment, the ability to continue his/her education, or to obtain or advance in the workforce.

Placement Testing
New students must complete English composition, reading and math placement testing prior to attending an orientation program. Please call (708) 974-5300 to schedule an appointment to test at the Blue Island campus.
Testing Center Policies
• A current Moraine Valley photo ID is required to test.
• No food, drinks, or personal items are allowed in the testing center. (Lockers are available for student use.)
• All electronic devices must be turned off. Scratch paper and ECBI-issued calculators may be used if indicated by the instructor.
The placement tests are untimed, but you should allow two hours to complete the English and reading tests and one hour to complete the math test. Visit the Testing Center for more details on what to bring and what you need for tests.
